The odd-looking structure above is my passive, solar Biodome Garden. I designed it eons ago as a way of raising vegetables year-round, with a minimum of water. It also has a 900-gallon fish tank inside and a circular vegetable bed. It's been so successful that a friend encouraged me to write a book about how to build one, so I did. THE BIODOME GARDEN BOOK, and WAIST-LEVEL GARDENING, are my only non-fiction books to date. If you want to learn about passive solar greenhouse gardening, aquaculture and hydroponic gardening you can visit my biodome garden website by clicking here. Below are some photos of the green house in "full bloom."
There are just some times of the year when the sun can't get through. But then, that's the best time for reading and writing. If you're interested in building your own Biodome Garden, THE BIODOME GARDEN BOOK is available in paperback in both full-color, or black and white, from Amazon by clicking here
For gardeners who love to dabble in the dirt and enjoy copious quantities of organically-grown vegetables, but are not interested in a passive solar greenhouse, my book below, WAIST-LEVEL GARDENING covers many aspects of organic gardening, including composting, companion planting, biological bug control, raising earthworms and including a fish tank for a supply of fertilizer water, or just for enjoying fish and teaching them to eat out of your hand. It's available from Amazon by clicking here.
